DDS CABIN FINISHERS

REPAINT
When painting cabins, the treatment is done to get the best outcome.

First, all facias will be removed, along with apexes and guttering. then we will clean down the cabin to make sure any dirt and grime is brushed off. This will be done using a cleaning chemical to properly remove residue from the wood and help protect the wood. we then put down sheeting to ensure the area is clean when finished. After this, we sand down the cabin, removing all marks. This will make sure the cabin is smooth and clear. Sanding smooths out the wood so we can get the best outcome when spraying your chosen color. Once this is all done and cleaned off, we can prep the cabin to be sprayed. All windows and doors will be taped up to make sure there is no overlap of paint. This will also create a more seamless result. Any nots in the wood will be puttied before, this is to make sure we get full coverage and a better look. once this has dried, we can spray your chosen color. if you are having matching windows and doors, they may be removed if possible, to be painted. this will be the same for the faciars and apexes.
all windows and doors will be taped up to make sure no rain or water can get into the cabin. once everything has dried, we can then apply a second coat. this makes sure we get full coverage. once this coat is dry, windows and doors will be reapplied on the cabin. all apexes and faciars will be reattached. any missed areas will be touched up with a small brush and sheets will be removed. once all of this is done we clean down all windows to make sure we leave a clean and complete cabin.

PAINTED
with painted cabins, we have to do a certain process.

new and clean cabins don't require a clean down as they are fresh wood. sheets will be put down to protect any surrounding objects and flooring inside and out. guttering and apexes will be removed and treated separately. if you have a flat roof, the trims will be taped up as to protect it. Any holes or knots will be filled in to create a smooth surface. we will give a light sand down to remove any marks. once this is done we will spray your cabin your chosen color. we sand in between each layer to smooth any drips or bumping. we will then spray another coat and allow it to dry. while this is drying, we will paint all faciers and apexes. once everything is dry. they will be put back on the cabin.
this will be repeated for the inside too.

if possible, doors and windows will be removed and painted your chosen color, while off the cabin. all mechanisms are removed during this process to ensure all we have cover all areas.
