Prices assume a cabin in reasonable condition and depend on size, location and condition. Major timber replacement, extensive rot repair, replacement windows or doors, structural repairs and complete recoating are quoted separately. Scaffolding, specialist access, large material use and long-distance travel may cost extra. We confirm your package, any additional costs and the service terms before you book. Maintenance plans are separate from the cabin manufacturer’s warranty.

Health Check credit: if maintenance work over £600 including VAT is booked within 30 days, £75 of the inspection fee is credited against that work.

How it works

A clear plan.
A carefully finished cabin.

We take time to understand the timber and the finish you want before agreeing the work.

01

Show us
your cabin.

Send a few photos, your postcode and a short description of what you have in mind.

02

Agree the
right approach.

We discuss condition, access and finish options, then set out the proposed work in an estimate.

03

Prepare.
Then finish.

Preparation, repairs and coatings are planned around your timber and the working conditions.

04

Keep it
looking good.

We explain the care your finish needs and what to look for as it weathers over time.

Our project photographs show the work along the way, too: looking closely at the timber, protecting the surrounding surfaces and masking the glazing before finishing.

A focus on cabins.

I’m Lee Duroe. I bring more than 30 years of decorating experience and an NVQ Level 3 in Painting & Decorating to the work we do.

We’ve specialised in log cabins since 2018. That focus matters: timber moves, coatings weather, and the preparation needs to suit the building in front of us.

Whether you want to preserve a natural finish, choose a new colour or restore an older cabin, we’ll help you understand what’s involved.

A little guidance

Your cabin
questions.

Every cabin is different. Here are a few useful things to know before we get started.

Ask Lee a question
Do you work in my area?

We undertake log cabin finishing and maintenance across the UK. Send your postcode and details of the job so we can discuss the location, access and scheduling.

Can you restore an older cabin?

We work on existing cabins as well as new ones. The right approach depends on the timber, any damage and the coating already on it. Photos help us start that conversation; an assessment may be needed before the scope is confirmed.

Can I keep the natural wood appearance?

Natural-looking finishes and opaque colours are both options. We’ll discuss the existing timber and coatings with you, including any preparation needed to achieve the appearance you want.

Do you finish cabin interiors too?

Yes. Our work can include interiors, as well as exterior timber, windows and doors. Let us know how you use the cabin and the look you have in mind.

How often will my cabin need maintenance?

That depends on exposure, timber condition and the coating system. We can discuss an appropriate maintenance plan for your finish. Checking the surfaces regularly helps spot areas that need attention.

What do you need to prepare an estimate?

Start with your postcode, approximate cabin dimensions and clear photos of each side, along with any peeling coatings or damaged timber. Tell us whether it is new or existing and what finish you would like.
