What we can repair

Repair the damage.
Retain sound timber.

Cabins & timber buildings

Localised damaged or decayed sections of cabin timber, trims and external woodwork, assessed individually for repair suitability.

Windows & sills

Repairs to suitable timber window frames, sills and beading, including vulnerable areas where water has caused localised deterioration.

Doors & frames

Restoration of damaged timber around doors and frames, rebuilding suitable affected areas ready for preparation and painting.

Fascias & decorative timber

Localised repairs to fascias, trims and other exterior timber details as part of a wider restoration or repaint.

The DDS approach

Careful preparation.
A properly finished repair.

  1. Assess the timber

We inspect the damage, check the surrounding timber and consider the cause before recommending a repair.

  2. Prepare the affected area

Unsound timber and failed material are removed. The area is prepared to suit the selected repair system.

  3. Rebuild & shape

We use specialist timber repair products, including Repair Care and Super Finish systems where appropriate, to rebuild suitable damaged areas and restore the profile.

  4. Finish & protect

Once ready, the repair is shaped, sanded and prepared for a suitable primer and coating system as specified for your job.

Repair or replace?

Honest advice
for your timber.

Where enough sound timber remains, a resin repair may avoid replacing the whole component and help retain existing details.

Every repair is assessed individually. Extensive decay, badly weakened timber or structural concerns may require replacement or further specialist assessment. We will explain the recommended approach before work starts.

Resin repairs are normally best suited to a painted finish. If you want a clear or natural finish, we will discuss the likely appearance before agreeing the work.
